About UIC HIGHSPEED 2012 - Philadelphia
The 8th world congress & trade exhibition on high-speed rail was the most important event in the long distance passenger rail transportation and infrastructure business. All strategic issues linked to the development of high-speed rail systems were addressed at this global event organised by UIC and APTA. All key players from the international transport scene attended.
UIC HIGHSPEED 2012 followed seven successful editions of this congress: five under the EurailSpeed brand name and two successful editions under the UIC HIGHSPEED brand name.
Previous editions were held in: Beijing (2010), Amsterdam (2008), Milan (2005), Madrid (2002), Berlin (1998), Lille (1995) and Brussels (1992).

UIC HIGHSPEED 2010 - Beijing
The 7th world congress & trade exhibition on high-speed rail was held in Beijing from 7-9 December 2010. UIC HIGHSPEED 2010, organised and hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Railways (MoR) and the Chinese Academy of Railway Sciences (CARS) together with UIC, successfully fulfilled its targets.
A remarkable number of high-level representatives attended this 7th edition including 20 Ministers and Vice Ministers, Ambassadors, 50 CEOs and Directors from railway companies from 26 countries and 2,700 participants from all over the world.
UIC HIGHSPEED 2010 was organised around two major round tables and 8 blocks of 40 parallel sessions totalling 260 speakers, chairmen and participants to round tables directly connected with high-speed rail development.
